I have a 99 Toyota trd. It keeps blowing the 10 amp dash light fuse. It runs the windows, dash lights and the heater fan. My mechanic unplugged the a/c compressor as he thought that was causing it. It still does it. Haven't been back to him, thought I would try to figure it out myself. Any ideas?

Could be a short in the window circuit behind the door panel. Try disconnecting the harness (near the door hinge?) to see if that makes a difference.

Would the fuse blow even if I'm not using the window? I have tried to narrow down as to when they blow, but it is so random I can seem to pinpoint anything.

I don't know. This is just a test to try to narrow down where the short is. You'll have do do without the windows functioning for a while. If the fuse still blows, then look elsewhere. If the fuse stops blowing, then you'll know its because of a short in the window circuit.

No aftermarket wiring. Will start with the windows and go from there.
