The crossplane i4 sounds soooooooo much better than a normal i4 IMO.

Had a great time! Wanted more food but I eat a lot less now so only got a massive corn dog and a slushi! Bike did great even thou I didn't hit the mpg I was wanting to try and get tbh... 70mph 1 hour and 30min drive both way I was hopefully to make it there and back on one tank but sadly just 20miles before getting home the fuel light came on and I know there isn't many fuel stops in that area so stopped and got fuel. Other then that a great time and a nice long highway ride with the bolt.

Did some maintenance items on the bmw then took it out again today. Fuck this thing rips. Still in awe.

Also installed the carpuride carplay unit and it works great! just clicked into the nav cradle and instantly worked.

And my daughter got to try it out, too, but she has a little ways to grow before she can flat foot it.

Why is it so hard to be patient when it comes to motorcycles? I can’t stop looking for a replacement to the GSXR 750. Keep finding bikes that I like but need to wait. Well I tell myself to wait but I feel like a little kid and get excited. I guess I feel like I am not getting any younger and don’t like to wait.
I found a nice 2019 cbr600rr for a good price and I can’t stop thinking about it. Also found another 2013 GSXR 750 too. Both are about the same price.

I grabbed my friends bike from the shop today, rode it up the driveway, it's been a long while since I've ridden a sport bike, but dang was it instantly comfortable and familiar. So tempted to get another, but I don't have enough time to ride the bikes I already have

600s are so disappointing tho. Until you get to like 12k there's just nothing there

That’s true about the 600cc bikes. The 750 moved pretty good for what it was. I want to go look at the 2013 GSXR 750 that’s in silver lake area just to see if it is smoother than the one I had. I think the 750 is a good compromise between 600 and 1000cc.

cool bikes, but they seem to have some serious and well documented engine problems. I cross shopped them with the street fighter but the engine issues scared me off. They look so good with the carbon package and M colors.

I did another track day yesterday! Back to Thunderhill East to work on progressing my time.

I put the Pirelli SuperCorsa SC V4 and Tyga rear sets on my bike before the track day. My PB from 3 weeks ago was 2:27, so I was hoping for a sub 2:25 since I heard the tires were good for 2-3 seconds off. I signed up for C group again because of how much I had changed the bike, and because my times were still kind of on the cusp of B and I wanted to get faster.

First session I took super slowly just to break in the tires and get used to the rear sets. I really liked the rearsets almost immediately. While not as comfortable as the stock pegs, it allowed me to move around the bike a lot easier since my feet were higher up and I was already in a semi-squat. Quick side to side changes were much easier than before, so very happy with those.

The tires I started pushing more in the second session, but the C group was painfully slow. I hit so much traffic constantly that it was hard to get a clean lap in. Somehow, I managed a 2:25 on my last lap, but you can see just how much traffic I had to get through till the last lap:

I asked the event organizers if I could be put in to B group, expecting a no, but one of the instructors asked if I had come to their track day about 3 weeks ago. I said that I had, and he said he remembered me and that I was probably too quick for C and they slapped a B group sticker on my bike!

This was my first session in B group:

You can see how much more consistent I was with my pace as there was far less traffic. I did find some people in B group to still be pretty slow in turns, which made for the same issue as C group with me having to pass under braking or around the outside of a turn since the faster bikes would leave me on the straights, but it was nowhere as bad as it was in C. I also find the sessions to be a lot more physically demanding as I was able to keep pushing lap after lap (and also get more laps in), so definitely need to start focusing on fitness again. I was still able to improve my PB to a 2:23 after lunch as well.

I also started talking to one of the guys pitted next to us since I had seen him around before. He was on an Ninja 400 in B group and I remember him being very fast. He was at the first track day I went to in C group (it was his first time on the Ninja 400 so he wanted to learn it in a slower group) and I remember I couldn't even keep up with him for one turn. After I moved up to B group, we started riding together a bit, and on the last session of the day, since there was relatively little traffic, I was able to push flat out. I started following him into corners much faster than I had before and was able to really work on corner speed. I had so much confidence in the Pirellis and was just feeling good and ended up with this:

The session got red flagged but 4 out of the 5 laps were well below my previous 2:23 PB. I went in hoping for a 2:25, so getting a 2:20.95 was mind blowing to me. I'm really hoping to get under 2:20 by the end of the year (2-3 more days).

The Pirellis are basically magic to me. Turn in, mid corner grip, braking, etc all just feel so good. Even under heavy braking with the rear end starting to squirm around, the front tire always gave me a ton of confidence. For $370 for the pair they're basically giving these tires away for the level of confidence they offer a rider of my skill level. I am 100% impressed with them.

Body positioning wise, I went in not caring about dragging knee this time, but rather getting my upper body off the bike more and keeping my butt farther back in the seat to improve my lower body position. I still have work to do (namely getting my torso and head down more) but I could really feel a difference in turning when I was able to really hang off the bike.

Sorry about the long post, just was so excited with how yesterday went. I've never ridden so hard in my life and the experience was just magical.

Another day put on the old bolt! Went to blip, got some breakfast, rode out and got boba, then went back to the riverfront to get some humus from this restaurant we like. Load of bikes in the riverfront market! Went and rode some fun roads then went back home another 140 something miles in a day haha.

Off topic but sorta on. I'm prob going to have to stop riding for a bit .. I've having some issues with pain like stabbing pain in my left rib? I've talked to a doctor and they are thinking it's a slipped rib from my accident back in 22.. they are thinking it might have gotten broken and then thrown out of place and that's what's been causing my issues for the past few years... And they are thinking since I've been working out it slipped to a worse location and is now stabbing me at odd intervals...

Duuude that xsr confused me! I thought it was the GP! We were getting ready to leave and I put my helmet down and walked away and the gf looked over like and yelled out hun!? Wtf!? Where are you going! Told her cool bike brb!

Lol ya ya! I'll mess with the pics later to see if I can't make them brighter but wasn't feeling the best so didn't do it yet.

I like everything about the XSRGP900 except the tiny front headlight. I wonder if we'll ever get it over here.
