I have a 2016 with a rear shock upper mount that looks like this:

But I just bought take off rear shocks (that only came with the nut) from a 2022 and the parts diagram looks like this:

Not totally sure what I am looking at on the 2022 diagram. Did toyota eliminate the rubber bushings? What parts do I need to put these shocks into a 2016? My washers are fairly corroded...

If the diameter of the old and new shafts are the same, you can re-use the bushings, large washer and nut. The 2022 diagram is a very badly done to the lowest bidder scribble and your new shocks will accept the same hardware that you removed. OR you can go out and by replacement bushings and washers from your closest off road store.

It might help if you linked the source of your diagrams. But anyway, I’m not aware of any changes in the shocks across 3rd gen years, however I do know that the shocks vary across trims (sr, sr5, sport, or, etc).

Agree, I had to cut the old shafts to get the washers off due to the nasty corrosion under the bushing. Once off, it looks like the old parts will work fine. I just need to get new middle washers 90948-A2006 and should be good to go.

    Thanks
