Please teach me your ways! I have never gotten that good of gas mileage with my AC MT.
Although I guess when I'm on the interstate I'm usually running 70-75 mph. But I usually only get 16-17 mpgs.

Got rid of the last little bit of chrome on the inside yesterday. AJT Design cupholder ring, shift knob trim, vent rings, and deeper cupholder all and all around an hour or so.

Drop your freeway speed. Watching the "current mpg" go all over the scale at 70 made me try 60-65 ... and MPG stabilized closer to 20. By attempting 55 it stabilized higher. Since I had 240 more miles, 70 MPH did not seem as necessary.

It was a fantastic concert. Creed, 3 Doors Down, and Finger Eleven. Outside venue on a beautiful 70 degree night.

I see your point...but $900 extra to make it not do that is quite a bit when a sun shade and cracked windows do a pretty good job with standard tint. Even with saying that I am still undecided on if I want to get the ceramic. There are so many mods that are just fear based to justify the most expensive thing on here it's hard to make the call between the top of the line and what I actually need for my use.

depends on the market area and quality of the tint film
I had my two front windows done 4 years ago with 3m ceramic 20% cost me $250
went back last summer and got the rear side windows and 3 section rear glass done in 35% ceramic over the factory tint for $375

The ceramic really helps with UV and heat. interior doesn't get as hot parked and AC works better or the hottest days. I think it was worth it since I plan to keep the truck till the wheels fall off.

Ceramic tint does not impede the cellular signal. Regular tint has metal in it.

    Update on regear:

    Ho.lee.chit! It's a whole new truck!

I finished the initial break-in period, changed diff oil and retuned to the 5.29 OTT Lite/Mild tune. It drives so much better. 6th gear and it no longer gear hunts, no longer downshifts going over an small simple overpass. MPGs have stayed roughly the same, maybe even improved slightly but I need a few more consistent tanks to really know.

Hooked up the camper trailer (~1800 lbs) for trailer break in period. S5 and zero gear hunting, TC stays locked even with light increase in load when going up a hill. Temps stayed low.

This may have turned my opinion around about the truck. I was on the fence and if the regear didn't help bring the truck to where I was happy I was going to look at trading it for a gladi diesel, but so far I am 100% happy with the regear. We have a trip to CO and UT in a couple weeks, so we will see how it performs pulling the trailer through mtns.
