Dome Light Won't Work

Ever since a few days ago, my dome light wont turn on. I checked the fuse and its fine, I got a new bulb and it wont turn on so what else can it be? Yes I tried to tun it off and turn it back on too but nothing.

 

Check the switch by the map lights. I’ve made this mistake too.

 

Where is this switch? I'm sorry im new to this sort of things.

 

You can also press each light individually for a total of three switches.

My dome light flickers when I push the lumbar support button.

 

Was that your problem? Just curious as you don’t hear issues like that very often.

 

Did you put a LED bulb in? If yes, polarity could be reversed. Try flipping the bulb and see if it works.

Unhook the negative battery terminal first before doing all kinds of electrical work.

Then we're both guilty. After replacing map and dome lights w/Meso LED kits they briefly flash when I press the lumbar button (and only that button). From the schematics, I can't tell why that seat button, but none of the others, would do this.

 

Yeah, I’ve got some meso lights up there too. Maybe we need to ask caribe

Found this thread looking for an answer/solution. And this question could be dumb enough to get me kicked But, should the dome light turn on and off independently of the map lights? Current situation: map lights switch (off/door/on) in off position. Dome light switch in door position. Tested each door open, no dome light. Dome light in on position, no light. As soon as I move the map light switch to door position, dome light works with door opening and in on position.

 

Did you ever figure this out? Mine behave the same way, but I never really paid attention until I put the MESO dual color map light and dome light in. What I want is for the map lights to be set to door but the dome light off. I'm mot sure this is even possible.

 

If you find a way to make a 2nd Gen Dome lamp fit you're golden otherwise to much trouble.
