HELP!!! Seeking someone's knowledge of the part in the photo below. The interior dash A/C console light is intermittently blinking. The part is on a 2013 Pre-Runner V6. The part in question is located on the driver's side of the engine compartment in front of the battery. Squirrels have chewed on the wiring harness attached to this part which is ultimately connected back to the fuse large fuse box behind the battery.
    • I replaced the relay in the fuse box.
    • The clutch on the compressor is engaging and the A/C is fully charged.
    • I also replaced the serpentine belt last weekend.
I would appreciate any suggestions to help solve my issues.

    Thanks!

That is the fuel pump resistor, the truck wouldn't run if that circuit was compromised.

The flashing A/C light means the A/C Amplifier isn't seeing the correct signal from the Compressor Lock Sensor.

You said the compressor engages, did you verify the center part of the clutch is spinning and the rubber damper in the clutch hasn't failed?

Yes, the center part of the clutch is spinning. Not sure about the rubber damper in the clutch. How would I know and would it be obvious?

You typically can see if the rubber has separated but if the center is turning at the same speed as the outer portion of the clutch then it's most likely fine.

You can check the Lock sensor wire at connector IH1 Pin 10 (Red/White) behind the glovebox, you should see around 2.59v when the compressor is engaged.
