New Release: Redline Tuning 2024+ Tacoma Bolt-In Hood QuickLIFT struts system

You're aware Redline Tuning hood struts have been a popular mod on 2nd and 3rd gen Tacomas for close to 20 years i.e. as long as Tacomas have had hood flutter?

 

Unfortunately, not aware of it, however, the struts have nothing to do with improving or eliminating hood flutter.

 

Ordered....and I don't even have a truck yet.

 

People aren’t installing these to combat hood shake. They eliminate the stupid prop rod

 

have them on my 3rd gen and love them. Will be getting them when I get the 4th gen.

 

Going to run out of space. Because that stuff was supposed to go ON the truck.

 

Took delivery and installed today on my 24 TRD OR--took around 30 minutes total. Simple, thoughtful, elegant engineering--works great and clearly an improvement over the lift and support stick OEM.

Got mine in the mail the other day..but still no truck

 

I thought the consensus was those back-of-the-hood bolt-on shocks put extra strain on the hood? I'd like to hear their take on why they went that way instead of the rivet in the middle like on the 2nd and 3rd-gen strut. I'm suspecting the answer has to due with aluminum. While it's lighter, it's also not a strong as steel.

 

Ordered on the 12th...delivered today. 15 min install. Only suggestion would be to fix the instructions. 12mm socket needed and not 13mm for the hood bolt.

 

Plug and play compatibility would be my guess

 

Not mine. It was a 13mm. Their instructions were dead on. I even commented on a different thread just how awesome their instructions are and a monkey could install these.

FWIW, I have the plus on my 2013 and 11+ years later it's still going strong. It's a shame that Tacoma's dont have hood struts like 4Runners.

 

The Tundra has a very similar geometry for their OEM setup.
