I’ve come to the conclusion that towing capacity is mostly in the eye of the beholder. Some of us think that if the trailer can be felt, the truck is too small. Others of us (myself included) think that if the trailer cannot be felt, the truck is too big.

This is said with the assumption that things are being kept within reasonable safety margins, for example towing a 10,000lb trailer down a snowy mountain with bald tires and no trailer brakes.

295's bed full of gear cabs full of gear 2 passengers boat and trailer is around 2500lbs have yet to have any issues. Just can't be afraid to get into that 4500 rpm range when you need power. These trucks do not have low end torque.
But a stock set uo should have no issues with a tear drop on longer trips. May want to look into a different leaf pack or bags as those stock springs are brutally weak.

Wow, King of the Load!! If I purchased another trailer, I would get another 20-footer for better access to the length limits at our favorite campgrounds, but for better road safety, a dually like yours. Having a blowout in a single axle is not a good thing. Nice rig!

Another safety part I do like is getting a trailer TPMS system. My reciever unit has solar charging so I don’t have to keep it plugged in all the time. Works very well. If you do get one, they also sell repeaters for longer rigs if they do not get good reception between the tires to the dash.
