The same shit everyone else has.
What did you expect with 100$ lights?

You got exactly what you paid for.

If you’re buying aftermarket, make sure they’re CAPA certified.

Not sure about their headlights, but the DEPO taillights for the 3rd gen can fog up like they did on mine. I ended up going OEM when I saw the difference in vents.

I expect sellers to say what they do and do what they say, regardless of price.

Price of oem compared to aftermarket your choice!
Oem is definitely good quality stuff but expensive.
If I did anything aftermarket I’d for sure use some flowable silicone to seal them up.
I’d also pass on the raptor lights and put some lights behind the grill or something.
Met a Prius with raptor lights the other day damm!IMG_0494.png

What I can spend will depend on how soon. I’m on the 3rd and last month of paying off a $21K (I think) dental bill. Then I’m gunna quickly pay back the bank account I robbed for this Taco :D

So, if I can hold a few months I’ll be more spendy

And thanks for reinforcing the need for sealant.

I did the light thing and extra lights etc!
Wish I’d just did the smoked oem sport lights I believe.
Tried like 3 different sets of aftermarket and had moisture issues.
Wish I’d used flowable silicone then but live and learn!
Pretty cool your 08 is still going!

I've had it less than two weeks. It's mostly in great condition, under 145K miles. I'm afraid I'll be spending $1000 or so on frame repair. I haven't decided if I will do the welding or pay someone.

Nice looking Taco you have there, Jeff.

Good news. I ordered a different brand and installed: Nilight Headlight Assembly for... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BTNGMC1T?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

And we passed test 1, a very humid night:
    IMG_5862.jpg

I forgot to seal them with silicone until I had them in the holes. I decided to run them as built. These look identical to the first set, except for tooling marks all over the back half, the bucket. Also noted blue paint pen marks beside every bulb hole and seam, maybe QA’d. Fingers and toes crossed. Next set will be OEM if these leak.

Thanks for these part numbers. Even on Amazon $290 each is still a good deal.

Hope they'll work out. I installed these (April '24) from Amazon, forgot to silicone as well. They have been to Colorado and back, through several storms and many car washes. So, far ZERO leaking/condensation. At this price point I can replace many sets before reaching OEM pricing. If I can get 2-4 years I'll be happy.
