Let's See Your Dogs!!

Our blue nose is so lazy she never wakes us up in the morning (neither do the other two). We got her when she was almost 2 years old and she did sometimes make funny noises at us until she got her way. Now she's over 10 and has given up on that.

 

Bane LOVES his garden and veggies.

 

I wish my dogs would stay still for pictures like that.

 

We’ve been hitting the field a lot lately. Might need to hit the beach to mix it up. If he looks a little wrecked, this was toward the end and he was wanting to lie down.

 

He knows he doesn't get the cucumber if he doesn't... lol He will just stand in the garden staring at the lettuce, carrots and cucumber plants. Sometimes I find the tops of the lettuce has been chewed clean off..

 

My dogs love vegetables. Especially lettuce!

 

Our 3 will surround my wife as she cuts lettuce in the hopes of getting some. Her old dog used to do it for skins when she peeled potatoes.

 

How did you get them to like lettuce? My former crew loved everything except lettuce or spinach

 

They just did. No training required.

 

Bandit: part hotdog hound, part Frisbee, part campsite patrol/early detection array.

 

Kimo likes lettuce but if there are choices? Lettuce ‘aint one of them

I think dogs, much like children IF raised eating what mom and dad eat wether omnivores, only meat or vegetarian will be molded and influenced to eat what's available... From day one he eats his quality dog food PLUS a mound of fresh veggies (safe choices for dogs). Admittedly he will eat anything but it helps starting them as a pup i'm sure... I think he spends more time in the garden than we do.

 

I'm sure.... I didn't get Gizmo until she was 9 - 12 months old. I was told both at different times, so.... only God knows her true age

 

My dog loved oranges. You could give her a wedge and she would clean the inside flesh out and leave the peel. Whole raw green beans were also a favorite.

 

Oh, you mentioned green beans.... gizmo does like frozen green beans... she gets them when I fix my dinner

 

In moderation? Yes edible but moderated and avoid peel, apples NO SEEDS!!!! A friend took care of her friends dog, "She LOVES grapes!!" NO!!!!!!! Amazing the stuff peeps feed them.. But good to hear fruit and veg are in the diet!
