    Faded out tinted tails and 3rd brake light,deck-plate mod, dumped Flow Master 40, King EXTD coil overs, 1.5 AP shackles, AP EXPD leafs. 285 Hankook DynaPro ATM tires
    I'm not to sure about the G1. But the other to are interchangeable, this happened to me on my last purchase at the dealer. They gave me the D3 witch is for the newer tacomas, but they work on the first gens (well at least my 04) the first time I purchased one for my truck the stupid dude gave me one for a corolla, and those are tiny filters.

    Same thing here, I just bought my 04 truck about 2 months ago and went to the dealership the other day to get a couple of filters. They gave me 90915-YZZG1. I went back and got the YZZD3. They would have exchanged the YZZG1, but they fit my wife's Saturn, so I kept them. (I know this because my 94 pickup took the same filter as the Saturn, and the YZZG1 is what is called for the 94) The guy at the parts counter said the YZZG1 and YZZD3 are interchangeable. The bypass valves appear to be different, but I couldn't get a good pic of them.

    Anyway, I took a couple of pics comparing them.

    Blacked out badges-rims OME lift with 881's & dakar pacs, summer tires=BFG 31x10.5x15 on 93 4runner rims,winter= 265 75 16 DURATRACS on stock steelies,Flowmaster exhaust, deck plate mod, ARB front bumper
    D1 and D3 are interchangable...D3 is a bit taller......My dealer sold me a D1 for my DIY oil change...looked under the hood (before leaving dealership) and found a D3 that was installed by them on the previous change.

    So I asked them a few??...I went with the D3 as I feel more element material = better protection...both were the same price. 2001 2.7L

    My 06 4.7 L Tundra takes a D3

    G3...not sure about this one.

    I've got a case of YZZD1's on the way. From my research and confirmation from the dealer i bought 'em from, the D1 is Asian made, while the G series is USA made. The D series has the sealed w/pre-oiled gasket.

    When i asked the dealer what he'd put on my truck if i brought it in (03 Tacoma DC, v6) He said the G1. Stated the D1's are "marked for Lexus's but are the same filter w/sealed-pre oiled."

    Sounds like the D3's are just a bit taller = more filter media larger capacity eh? Dang. Well, maybe on my next case :D
