Maestro steering wheel controls on Alpine ILX-F509

2020 trd off road- installing alpine halo 9 Ilx-f509

Seems I have a wire that I cannot find a home for at the moment. The steering wheel controls there is a headphone jack that plugs in and there is a green wire with a purple end on it. Do you use both wires? I do not see anything the green wire could plug into. Anyone know offhand or is it a one or the other type deal?

 

Disregard, called crutchfield and they helped me out.

side note: they are super knowledgeable and helpful. Had to call twice and both times able to answer my questions immediately.
