I use the auto carwash with lots of touching! Twice a week and dont give a damn.

If the Tacoma cant handle the carwash then so be it, I didnt buy it to rub it with a diaper.

I got Ice cap white to hide any blemishes that I know are eminent.

I had a Pyrite Mica 2nd Gen and while it was a beautiful color, I do know now that I am not the one who is going to be waxing and buffing all the time.

If the white paint starts falling off I will paint over it with a roller

I used to be anal about hand washing.
Only use car wash during the winter etc.
I’d wax and buff with a da.
The 18 I have now was the most expensive of the 4 tacomas I’ve had.
I’ve hand washed it once in the last 2 years! Yes I use the brush thing f it it’s a vehicle and they don’t last here in VT anyway.

I'll squirt mine with the pressure washer if it's near the pressure washer when I have it out, otherwise it washes itself when I drive it in the rain. 2024 ain't looking good for a wash job this year :anonymous:

My 2nd gen is “super white” and ten years old. I’ve stopped waxing because the paint is oxidizing. Pretty sure it doesn’t have clear coat. My third gen is lunar rock. Wondering what that’ll look like in a few years. They’ve both been wheeled so they’ve both got Texas pinstripes.

I had a 2020 F150 and ran it through Quick Quack 4 to 6 times a month for four years. Sold it when I no longer needed a full size truck. The paint was in excellent condition when I sold it. No scratches or swirls and shined better than when I bought it. Hopefully the paint on me new Tacoma will hold up just as well. I get the Ceramic wash. I noticed a difference over the previous wax they used. Hopefully it will help protect the paint from the brushes better than just the wax. I live in California where water is expensive and the supply is limited. Previously washing a car by hand was prohibited in some areas during the drought which lasted several years and people were encouraged to use car washes who recycle water.

I used to just hand wash, then life got more demanding and I take mine through the car wash about once a month when I start realizing all the dirt.
