Sony XAV 9500ES installed on my 3rd gen

I did get some info from Trailgrid Pro on this. Either headunit will support any camera that has an RCA connection. Im leaning towards the Sony product because it will support 3 camera inputs. Im going to install new front, rear and maybe the passenger side camera in the mirror.

 

Thanks for the info. I love the Sony's specs, but those bezels are from 2017. If Sony had a 10" HU with a display that was actually close to 10", it would be a insta-buy.

 

What do you mean by bezels? The icons on the screen?

 

No, the plastic trim around the display. It takes up a lot of space that should be the screen. Look at similar HUs from Alpine, Pioneer and Kenwood and you’ll see what I mean.

 

I guess its slightly thicker than the Alpine unit of similar cost and dimensions

 

So what's the best head unit to replace my OEM unit on my 21 TRD OR with the JBL sound system?

 

As far as the bezels I don't really notice it anymore. Don't even remember what it looked like when I had the stock 7in stereo. Cabin feels normal to me now.
for comparison my other car is a 2023 Rav4 with the big oem 11 in screen. it looks slightly bigger (which I know it is) and the bezels on that also feel big but don't really notice that anymore either.

When I first got the Sony for my Tacoma, at first, I did feel like the bezels would bother me but after a few days it didnt.

 

Did you ever find a solution to the rattle? At certain RPM’s I have a rattle that I can’t quite pinpoint. If I lift on the device slightly it seems to help, but I can’t determine exactly what’s rattling

 

I'm having trouble installing mine on a 2019 SR5.
I had an anytime Camera hooked up prior, I can't get this new unit to turn on.
