Took the wife’s GX460 for a wiring repair today and stumbled on this. For a while, I thought, maybe I don’t need my 4Runner and Tacoma…

Have thought the same many a time. The interior isn’t cartoon too.

King 2.5’s with adjusters from accutune front and rear, 88 rotors rear add a leaf, Camburg X-joint UCA’s, Factory style trd pro 16” wheels with 0 offset, 285/75/16 KO2’s, pro grille, Front bumper viper cut, trd front skid plate, full RCI under skid plates, Cali raised trail sliders, exhaust cut dump, KDMax 10.0 tune
I wouldn’t even think about it. It has the same engine (just detuned) as the Tundra and Sequoia which is a ticking time bomb and absolute garbage. Maybe wait a few more years.

I’ll say this, the seating is out of this world. As an old man, I can appreciate it. Superior to my GX460.

No. Land Cruiser has the 4-cyl turbo hybrid. This has the gas-only V6 shared with the Tundra and LX600, electronic wastegate and main bearing risk and all.

I believe they also had the problem that the Tundra engines got recalled for, right?

As long as the turbo blows up or the engine grenades within 5yrs/60k and not after, the Lexus would provide a more enjoyable experience.

Unless your on a road trip with the fam and it sh*ts the brick. There's a Tundra group guy who was towing to the lake when his 2nd engine gernaded, family him and gear in a parking lot while his Tundra is on a flatbed. That would not be an enjoyable experience.

Looks like an ambulance, a cool ambulance but still an ambulance. Needs some color on it, I saw maybe four of these today and a few new GXs.

    Edit

Thought it was a LC not a GX.

Correct action would've been to load the Tundra on the flatbed, then hook up the trailer to the flatbed. At the dealer, transfer his gear and trailer to the loaner/rental. A 2016 Tacoma owner did this when his engine failed and posted pics in the TW FB group:

Saw it in person, it was quite bland. From far away I thought it was a Land Rover.
