Manual swap ecu vin number mismatch

    3" lift 33" tires
    Hey everyone this is my 1st post on here. I'm considering manual/4x4 swaping my 1999 tacoma with a 3rz. I've been doing some research and it seems that some, but not all people have some smog related issues with the new M/T ecu having a different vin number than the chassis. I would need this to pass smog as it is my daily driver. I live in California and was wondering if any of you folks could shed some light or if anyone with experience doing the swap and passing smog.
