I want to put a camera on the rear window, preferably with its own display and I can set it up without hooking it up to my phone or install a phone App.

Looks like most of the dash cams are designed to be installed on the windshield at an angle, not the rear window perpendicular to the ground.

I really like the Rexing v5 I put in all my vehicles years ago. I think they came with an adapter to make a flush mount , but I can't remember for certain. I think the pivot point of the one above will work for you though.

So this doesn't answer your question, sorry, but I'm hoping it might help by expanding your search.

Consider getting a 2-channel, rear-view-mirror integrated dashcam. It replaces your mirror with a display module, which contains a forward-facing camera. The second camera is installed remotely, wherever you want, but nominally rear-facing such as within or beneath the bumper. Wiring required of course.

But now you have not just front and rear dashcam coverage... but also, your rear-view mirror can display a wide-angle rear video feed. It can see your blind spots and will work even if your bed is piled sky high with stuff. Not as useful when towing, but if it has view of the hitch, it's game changing for hooking the ball in the first place.

If you want a conventional rear view, there's a button that turns off the display. It's not a mirror, but it's a specular glass surface, and totally functional as a mirror, day or night.

    Something to consider at least.

I have FixcamX in the front, just want to have one for the back. I can't just add a rear facing camera to the FixcamX, the dual camera version and single use different guts.

Most of the single cameras on the market are designed to be mounted on the windshield at an angle, not vertically on the back window. That's what I'm having a hard time finding one.

Look at 2ch. I chose a blackvue for myself so that I would have footage front and back if needed. I have only retrieved footage a number of times, but I love that it’s there if I need it.

You could use a Garmin mini.
I have one on the front. The app lets you add another if you want a rear cam or secondary cam as well.

It answered the question. The rearview mirror would be a separate display. But, even better, a 3-channel setup. I have the pormido version and use the 3rd cam inside the bed, put the front camera outside on the grille to point at the ground and the rear... In the rear.

I would say to search around for a camera with the features that you want, then figure out a fix for the mount. It will probably take some ‘creative’ problem solving to make a mount for the rear window, but should be doable.

Make a 45-degree wedge-block and mount the front-window-45-degree camera on that wedge.

My front cam is powered by the rear view mirror with a dongar splitter. To power to the rear, you would likely power it to the interior fuse block.
