in the interests of protecting the Tundra rack i put in, will these still be the fuse that will go first?

i am running the Warfab sleeves which are supposed to still fail first but I like this option too.

For me running the tundra rack with the eccentric bushing, the WarFab sleeves 100% hit my shock coils. I added them and removed them the next day as they dug into my coils. Running the eccentric bushings pulls the rack back about 3/4". Did you weld in the new mount? Curious how the sleeves have been for you. I was bummed they did not work out for me.

Had this same issue before. I had to get the rack welded on to move it forward but you can only go so far forward and it was still rubbing. The solution from me was getting a longer rod end for my shocks and getting a shock tower from JD fab that moves shocks up by 2 inches. They also have spacers in those shock mounts to make them move forward. Now I’m able to run chromoly tie rods with heims.

Nice I have seen some solid tie rods that narrow in the middle to also take account for this. Will see how it goes maybe I’ll remove it or weld in the old way to move it forward. The reduction in steering is even worse than the race lowers I had before.

I had ordered Land Cruiser inner and outer tie rod ends to see how Toyo Steering made it work and to be honest, I'm not sure how they did. The piece where the inner tie rod end fits in the steering rack is larger than the rack itself. I thought maybe they just cut a new thread on the end of that ball joint and you could bolt it up after reaming your spindle to a new taper but no such luck. Maybe I ordered the wrong Land Cruiser tie rod ends too lol

i am using the eccentric bushings with my Tundra rack as well but don't believe i have any rubbing issues and seems like i have plenty of room. i have done the JD Fab Lower Pivot kit upgrade but that moves both the tie rod forward and the lower coilover mount so i dont think that would be the reason i am not rubbing. i am not sure how far back my rack is sitting vs stock.

when does it make contact? when the steering is at full lock or when the suspension cycles or ?

I also have the JD Fav Pivot kit on mine. May also be where you have it setup. I also run the double sheer JD Setup but OE inner and tie rods.

Do LC ends fit in a Tacoma? the 4runner and Tacoma for example have different sizes. Even in the Tacoma the tie rods have different sizes between 2wd and 4wd. The inner on the 4runner is much larger than the Tacoma. I haven't seen the LandCruiser, but I would assume it's likely like the 4runner. @Basikbiker I believe now offers tapping for 4runner or Tacoma so you would run the larger tie rod connection now. Correct me if I am wrong on that part but swore I saw that.

Are you referring to the thread size? The ball joint on the LC100 inner TRE is too large to fit inside the rack on my 4th gen 4runner so it's beyond a thread size issue. Not sure how Toyo steering accomplishes this

Looks like they posted a picture on their IG showing how they make it work.

    More importantly

    IMG_4748.jpg

So the inner ball joint OD is actually machined down to fit inside the 4Runner/Tacoma/GX/FJC rack. I knew they had to do something like that to make it work.
