I don't know if this was a good idea. My plan was to redo my swingout to make it lighter. I am not sure I did it right.

I measured twice and cut everything just right. Only, I forgot about my fold down table. So I will have to add more metal and more weight. So in the end, it will probably be just as heavy.

I don't think I accomplished a dang thing. Maybe streamlined it a little, but it is still heavy.

Test fitting the new tire and wheel setup.

A lot of massaging and triming will be needed to clear it all.

Went to the scales today, fully loaded for an upcoming extended trip, my truck weighs 6270 pounds.

I need to figure out my wants and needs and adjust from there.

I had a little steering play and figured I would check things out. I felt some slight movement in the steering shaft, so out it came.

While I was in there, I cleaned up and shimmed the tilt ball joint and regreased it.

Did the spot weld mod on the shaft joint.

Cleaned up and regreased the u-joint pivot joint.

Replaced the leather on my Lexus steering wheel.

My steering shaft seal was shot, so I removed it and ordered a new one, hopefully it will be here soon, I have a trip this weekend.

I hope this fixes some of my steering slop.

All back together, steering is way easier now. And no play in the wheel.

Did some work on my OVRLND camper recently as well. I have been struggling with how to mount and fill my water tank.

I think this is going to work out just fine.

Also took out the fridge slide and mounted my refrigerator up front.

Played around with my heater today. I cut both the power and control cables. Added twist connect fittings. Drilled and mounted the surface mounts. Ran new wires, and gave it a test.
Everything worked great. Tested the thermostat setting, seemed to work just fine. The burner shut down when the temperature was reached. The fan slowed way down, but stayed on. Then the burner would reignite when the temperature dropped.
I need to test it out when it's below 20° F and see how it does.

Did you have to program the elevation into the thermostat? I have the LF BRO N4 and I cannot figure out the elevation programming. Its never sooted up but I feel like its still running rich.

Mine claims to have a barometric sensor in the controller that automatically adjusts for altitude. I have only ran it at 7100 feet, no sooting or smoke. It seems to be burning fine, no harsh smells.

Interesting, I wonder if I would be able to swap control panels to that style to get the altitude function. Mine was fine around 8900 and lowest around 3800 but that's the highest I have taken it so far. Ran no problem at P1.4kw and kept everything warm

Spent a couple of nights in the cold testing my new diesel heater. It worked great with the thermostat set at 14° C and an outside temperature in the teens.
