It was good, nice to talk with other owners and meet a few people.

 

Today was maintenance day. Oil and filter change, and a tire rotation. The oil work wasn't too bad, but moving those tires around is rough on the body. Need to find a beter way to lift those tires on to the wheel studs.

 

Isn't that the truth! My back is sore (well in more pain) for a week or more after dealing with that.

not sure if you have diff fluid coming up but a case of 4 flex fill is $43 on Amazon. Cheapest I’ve seen it but I also think the cases went from 5 to 4 and from 60 down to the 43. I could be wrong…

I've been taking my Sport to the Dover Dealership for tire rotations...included in Preventative Maintenance Systems check (no oil change).

But you're right, even if I did tire rotation myself...that would be a workout to lift the wheel/tire assembly.

Anyhow, I've got an afternoon appointment so just lounging at home with my wife...my driver for today.

My procedure went well...home within 2hrs of start time.

Glad to hear everything went well. Been through that myself and really not looking forward to the next time around.

I have to assume that the Dodgers shirt in the one photo was from a time when you were involved with a youth baseball team called the Dodgers. Go Phil's!

This is my third round with procedure...I had salmonella/food poisoning back in April & inflamed my colon; all is well. I'll be having them every 5yrs now.

That's a funny joke about baseball....Go Dodgers!

Currently, both teams have the same record with 78 wins.

I've been a Dodgers fan since the 1976 when Garvey/Russell/Lopes/Cey were the infield players.

I'm also a Raiders fan since they won SB XXVIII for the city of Angels against Washington.

I am Rams fan too--back when Pat Haden was QB but then the team left LA...and then came back to win for LA.

Of course, the Kings finally won their first Cup in 2012...took 40 years but it was great!

And last but not least, I'm a Lakers fan. I went to the Forum a long time ago and sat in nose bleed section. Saw Magic/Abdul/Nixon/McAdoo.

Morning Ed, I’ve gotta get them every 5 years as well… that drink is terrible.

it’s gonna be a hot one today and I’ll be donating blood this afternoon.

I have plans to finish pre wiring for my roof rack light, but it’s been too hot for me to want to do it. Should only take 15-20 min. I have the harness made up and am just splicing to run parallel after the switch with the other light bar.

 

Yeah, the mixture isn't the greatest...but I add a Crystal Lite Lemonade packet and put the gallon jug in the fridge to at least make it quench-worthy. (in my mind!)

Yeah, what's up with this weather? I'll be mostly eating today to get back on the regular...lol!

They keep changing the protocol. First time it was a gallon jug of some mixture. Most recent was Ducolax tablets. Gatorade with MiraLax. Still not pleasant but probably the least difficult. This was probably my last one.

They've been there before so we will be dining & consuming alcohol in the evenings.

The mornings will be filled with relaxing cabin views while sipping coffee.

It's only for the weekend but it's a much-needed break from work.
