    Hi Guys (and Gals),

I am trying REALLY hard to maintain my 1999 Toyota Tacoma. In fact all the mechanics tell me how new it seems.

HOWEVER, I'm at 160,000 miles now and I canNOT find any maintenance schedule past this mileage. It's not in my manual, and I can't find it online. TacomaWorld gives some guidelines, but nothing I can follow. I have ALWAYS done whatever maintenance I'm supposed to do, but I no longer know what that is.

Can anyone give me guidance from this point on? I know I'm supposed to change the timing belt at 180,000, but I just did that at 89,000. I don't know if I'm supposed to do it again or not.

I used to have a mechanic who KNEW what the maintenance schedule it, but he retired, and as hard as I try, I can't find another one who knows what I'm supposed to do. They tell me generic service, but they are just guessing.

P.S. I don't trust Toyota to take care of my truck!

    Thanks a million

Pretty easy to do the math if your following the maintenance guide, wherever a maintenance item first appears on the guide you do it at that interval.

For example timing belt is every 6 years or 90k miles.

Owners manuals and maintenance guides can be found here.

Just repeat the maintenance schedule in the book. Tbelt and associated parts every 90k. Can’t remember if my 1st gen had a fuel filter on the frame if so replace it every 60k. If you do that it will go a a while. I put 475k on my 02 and it was still running great when I bought my 15.
