Good morning! Two more days (today and tomorrow) of donut making this week. Looking ahead to a four day weekend at the farm. We should be able to get the big bathroom finished. I'm looking forward to some tractor time. Need to cut a couple swales. I need a couple hours on a chainsaw too. Then onto the zero-turn for the areas that are grassy. If the wind is calm, I have a 40' diameter burn pile that needs to be taken care of. That will take 3 days to burn down. Sounds like work...but it's fun!
Be safe a have a wonderful Wednesday or as they say in North Florida, Wenzdee.

62 tomorrow. Seem I was just 50 a few weeks ago, opened a Stand Up Paddleboard business on my 50th Bday. Zooooom! It goes that quick. Billy Graham had a couple sermons on the Brevity of Time, youtube has them.

    Boulder Creek was lovely!

Boulder Lake wasn’t the prettiest lake around.

After resupplying my grandson and his backpacking bud, I headed through Pinedale then up a rough 19 mile, 1 3/4 hour drive to Green River Lakes campground.
This is lower Green River Lake.
    IMG_0454.jpg
Morning fog over the Green River. Every morning this happened until the Wyoming winds hit around mid day. Then I had to hold on!

A long 11 hour day fighting Wyoming winds heading home. No matter what direction you drive in Wyoming, you always have a head wind!
Stopped in Farsen (half way between Pinedale and Rock Springs) at the Mercantile for an awesome baby ice cream waffle cone! Highly recommend it! HUGE and delicious!
Been cleaning up the rig for two days. Mud, dust, etc gets everywhere!
The boys were so thankful I showed up to resupply them. They were down to their last granola bars. Apparently this 120 mile trip was their longest and toughest yet. Lots of deadfall on the trail causing them to have to detour several times losing the trail. They met a lone hiker (crazy lady!) who was a marathon hiker with ultra light gear and little food.
Another fun time for me just day hiking, camping and a bit of red wine watching the sun set. Lovely peaceful quiet week. A reset for a time.
I didn’t read all the previous pages catching up, but I hope everyone is doing well, enjoying life, and taking care of themselves?
At 77 I never know how many more of these types of trips I can make. I’m thankful for each and every one!
    Have a great day!

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Wife already got back from taking her friend to an early morning colonoscopy , and were off to see the Annuities guy shortly. They have performed about as well as my vegetables, so last chance. Then I get my MRI in the afternoon.

    Beautiful scenery @Ridgewalker1 !!

Had to log in to post this...So, kids, let me tell you, these are the golden years. You've got more choices than a kid in a candy store. Before you know it, you're in your 20s, a blur of parties, bad decisions, and wondering where all the time went. In your 30s, you're juggling kids, careers, and trying to remember what 'sleep' is. By your 40s, you've got a spare tire around your waist and your favorite band's new album is just too loud. And don't even get me started on the 50s. You're suddenly having 'procedures' that sound like they're from a sci-fi movie. By the time you hit your 60s, the music's so loud you can't hear it anyway. You're retired to Florida, eating breakfast at midnight and wondering why your kids never call. In your 70s, you're having a stroke and your wife's got a new best friend, a Jamaican nurse you call 'Cleo.' Any questions?

Just finished composing an email list to myself for my "to do" list tomorrow. 9 Items, hell I'm already exhausted when I start the new day!
Just finishing up with a major replacement of Trex on a 2nd story deck and stairs at home. Contracted it out, these guys are using a system from "Cortex" that hides
the deck screws. Tomorrow plan is to demo and replace Trex "Romeo and Juliette" deck overlooking the driveway of the room addition over the garage.
Then worker is going to install a new 4" high 24' long fence so I don't have to look at my neighbors crappy yard. I marked off the fence line at least 2 months ago so
he might take the hint. This guy is clueless.

I had one of the swing out mirrors on my RV fall off in Tombstone Arizona. Went to a local hardware store and bought a stick on mirror that went
onto the base of my outside mirror assembly. My wife had to tell me from the passenger seat what was to the right of me. Worked well until she decided
to sleep in the back of the RV. I had to change lanes to my right "blind" and almost crushed a Honda!

Meeting a young guy for a cup of coffee this morning who did yard work for me when he was in college. Graduated from CU with no debt! Got a job; got married; popped two cute kids. Listened to my financial recommendations and is far ahead of any of his college buddies out buying new cars and toys. I’m pretty proud of how well he is doing.
Going to be a bit cooler day…95 yesterday but 88 today. No rain in the long term forecast though.
Prepping to get my granddaughter shooting out to 300 yards from field positions. Hoping to stretch that to 400 by her January Texas free range Aoudad hunt.
Plenty to do around here today. Keeps me out of mischief! LOL!
Have a rewarding day! Work on your health and make this day your best yet!
