Got my new SSW wheels and Diode Dynamics fogs installed as an early bday gift.
Loving the new wider stance, but there's definitely some rubbing going on...

Thanks! My sliders are the Cali Raised LED "step edition" with bed liner filler/top plates, and I'm very happy with the look and functionality.

The window tinting really makes a huge difference with the Lunar Rock color. One of my favorite upgrades.

Your truck looks great, the RRW look so good on that.

I gotta ask, what did you need to modify to accommodate 275/70R17? I want that size, I'll also have 17x8.5 with 0 offset wheels, I have the TRD Pro but I think I might still have some cutting to do.

Retrax pro with Yakima rack when I want to get out of the city. Contemplated getting the previous gen Tundra for size and V8, test drove it and it handled like a whale. Sure it was bigger, louder and more get up, but I love the Taco and surprisingly, more comfortable to drive.

Thank you! CMC, some fender plastics near the pinch welds, nothing terrible but they're far from bolt on if you're not going to run a massive lift. Which I'm not, I'm guessing I'm probably around the same front height of a stock Pro, maybe .5in taller. I only did a 1.25in front end lift.

If you look at my build thread you can see my DIY CMC and some of the plastics I trimmed.

You put in some work on that build, great job. Thank you for the reply.

Think I might just stick with 265/70R17 then.

Thanks so much! Yes honestly if you're not looking for a headache and at least some cutting, don't bother with the 275/70/17 lol. 265/70 looks pretty much the same and requires no work.

Hahah thanks for this, think I needed to hear that. I was so adamant on 275 and reading watching videos and now I realize, it might not be worth it for me.

It's definitely not a bolt on solution, especially with 0 offset wheels. Just depends on how committed you are to either just driving your truck or making your "too big" tires to fit properly without rubbing. I've for sure gone overboard on clearancing, but I have zero rubbing now on or off-road at full flex. There's so much misinformation out there on what actually fits, but I'm telling you anything bigger than a 31.6 (265/70) you're going to have issues rubbing almost guaranteed.

Definitely, I think most of the information out there doesn't take into consideration offsets and widths of aftermarket wheels.

I've seen a couple threads and videos where they say 275/70R17 fit no problem, like a big blanket statement. But they don't mention it's only for a stock 7" wide wheel with a positive offset.

How do you like the rack/cover combo? I’ve been considering various options, but keep coming back to this setup even though $$$.

I'm very happy with it. That was my reluctance too with price, but I have no regrets. I can keep adding to it, load stops for ladder/baseboards, anything I can't fit in the bed, the racks can handle. Paddle board no problem.

I'm going to get shorter towers and a cargo box soon. That set up can also hold a rooftop tent.

Anyone in this thread done blackout lettering / inserts on your tailgate? Would love to see photos as I’m debating. Already got black badges instead of the chrome.

Yes! How do you like them? Holding up well? Got some bookmarks from other threads on specific products folks have used.
