So all the trees I've been felling in the woods, I don't really have a good way to get them out and I have 5 totes I modified to put firewood in so I can move them with the skidsteer or tractor.

I go by a buddies place everyday who has a mulch place and he gets totes with mulch dye in them.

I text him and ask him if he refills them or what does he do with them, he said I give them to friends like you, how many you want?

I said 10
He text me yesterday and said come get em and sent me a picture of where the key was hidden for the skidsteer at his place

Now Cole and I can just go down in the woods and cut/split firewood and I can bring it out that way and not have to look at the mess in the yard.

He said be careful with that dye, one drop is enough to turn an entire hot tub

 

I rode by our old house yesterday, the trackhoe is back in the yard and they been taking windows out of the house. I'd say it's coming down today or tomorrow. The windows had been replaced several years ago and the guys who are demoing it are scavengers


The guy who is doing it text my wife the other day and said he found something in the building that I may want, I said nope, EVERYTHING I left in that building, I didn't want. I found stuff I hadn't seen in 14 years, if I didn't need it then, I don't need it now

I left it cause I got tired of taking stuff to the dumpster prize wharehowse

 

This trailer I sold for my buddy, I took it to Virginia and sold it online. I saw it near our old house in N.C. yesterday, what are the odds?

Yesterday was a good adventure. We did some exploring trying to locate clues for a couple of old roads in the river swamp that we want to explore in the winter when it cools off and the brush thins out. Found remnants of one of the big brickyards that used to be in the area. The property owner had cleared out some brush so that made it easy, it was visible from the road so kinda cheating lol. The property owner came by as we were walking down the road and spoke to us. He’s a really nice older guy who is also a history buff. He gave us his phone number and an invite to explore another old brickyard that’s on his property We knew it was in the area but it was going to require some mild trespassing to get to so that’s a big win!

@RustyGreen beat me on the mileage but part of my miles were on dirt so I think that’s bonus points.

We were so full after lunch at a locals place we didn’t have ice cream , I also only had a salad for supper last night lol.

Back at it today. Priming the scoop this morning then mowing at the wife’s shop this afternoon.
