2009 6 Disc CD Player Unloading Unexpectedly

Recently my 09 6 disc CD player has started unloading on its own when I start the engine. It unloads all of the CDs whether it’s 1 or 6. When I try to reload them I have to repeatedly press different buttons before. Sometimes the power button doesn’t work. Sometimes the DISC/AUX button or Load button turns it off and on. Sometimes the display is blank. Sometimes it has dashes or x’s.

I mainly use the AUX mode and cord to my iPhone to listen to podcasts and audio books. I don’t listen to CDs that much but having the option was nice.

Any suggestions for a fix? I assume it’s dying. What are the best replacement options without breaking the bank?
