    Sup Guys!

So one day my side mirror adjusters started acting weird. The driver side mirror would only adjust outward (left) and my passenger mirror would only adjust outward (right).

What the heck could it be?

Bad switch or motor in each mirror. I've never seen a switch go bad. You'll need a multimeter (or test light) and wiring diagram to see what's up.

I've attached the PDF for the mirrors.

    Thanks! I appreciate it.

I just find it weird that both mirrors would act weird at the same time?

If it is indeed the actuator that is bad. See if the actuator is available separately (Amazon or eBay).

    Me too.
This is a case of “Test, don’t guess”.

Let me read over the diagrams.
I’ll see if I can throw together a “DIY - Test Procedure”.

    To test the switch.
I'd place my meter lead in pins 9 and 10 of the SWITCH.
Then test for continuity when working the LEFT switch.

Then repeat the process for pins 11 and 12 for the RIGHT side.

One could also back probe the connector to make it "easier".
But make sure the truck is OFF. You could even pull the 7.5 ACC fuse if you want to really safe.

I have a habit of leaving my windows open too often and don’t always close them in case of rain. I fear my door arm switches will get wet and mis-function.

Myself, I would just take the switch apart, clean up any corrosion, re-grease with a dielectric grease and reassemble. Just out of curiosity I’ve taken my window switch apart before, but not the mirror switch. Hoping to see your pictures.
