Sorry for the newbie question and I know there are plenty of threads about this subject. I bought a set of TRD 17 wheels that came with 265 70sr 17 Bridgestone Dueler 684 2’s. I have a 2023 SR5 stock height. According to the threads I have read , some say they rub , some don’t. Just want to make sure before I install them.

In my experience, if they are the 17x7 wheels with +4mm offset, then they will rub factory mud flaps in certain dynamic situations with tire size - such as braking and turning, or turning and hitting a bump. My truck had the Sema wheels on it when I bought it and I heard scuffing quite a bit in those scenarios with 265/70R17 KO2s. Mud flaps removed fixed it, but I wanted to keep the flaps. Some say alignment would help, but I didn’t want to realign a stock truck. I personally didn’t like those wheels and so I got a set of stock wheels and kept the flaps and alignment the same.

Different methods available depending on preference.

If they do rub, it’s a very minor rub that isn’t harmful at all. It bothered me though. So I guess it was harmful to my feelings.
