Same here... My CNC table is not even fully done, and I am already working on adding an air engraver. all because I found a pair of air engravers for a great price.

The feet that come included with the legs are beefy as hell, they're solid and machined

    20240830_110519.jpg

I'm going to run leveling casters though

Top weighs in at 150lbs, legs add another 50lbs, and casters at over 5lbs

    20240830_113929.jpg

    And she's ready!

Just need to figure out where/how I want my angle grinders set up

Plan is to get rid of the other table and add a second fixture so I have a large, flat surface

My garage/shop burnt to the ground last summer. AHP 201xd, HTP mig140, all my tanks - gone. I recently got a discount code for a Primeweld 225x so I said "why not". Went to visit my local gas guy to get a 125 of argon. Have to buy all the consumables, again.... I forgot what I had, won't remember what I need until I start doing stuff.

The highlight of this endeavor, though, is that my gas guy is now able to get me helium for SCUBA!!!! T bottle inbound, very large wad of cash outbound. I got a little break on a package deal with a T bottle of O2.

Fair to say I'll be buying another fixture table from PrimeWeld sooner than later - it'll replace the table that's next to it so I can have a much larger welding platform to work on

So this is how any cut session goes -

    I open my garage

If my wife's car is inside, I back it up (she'll normally park outside if she knows I'm working in the garage the next day)

I grab the bucket under the table, walk to the side of the house, and fill it up

End up dumping almost two bucketfuls of water into the table

    Proceed to cutting

I don't measure the height of the water in relation to the slats or steel, I just wing it and say that's good

If I post pics of me cutting on here, I bet you'll notice the water level varies from one day's pics to the next

Not in FL..... I could write a book. But, at the end of the day, it is what it is.

years ago, my dad's work truck got broken into and stripped.

the thing i learned from that, be it theft or fire, is that the big ticket stuff is easily insured and replaceable. but there's a thousand little tools, parts, and items that might not have any monetary significance, but are the difference in all the projects everyone has. even 5 years after my dad's truck theft, he was still figuring out some of the tools that were missing...

Yep. I had drawers of machining stuff. Buying a new mill is easy. All of the tooling took 20+ years to acquire.

Yeah, plenty of pics in this thread of our many tools already

But someone made a good point about all the small stuff in the drawers/etc. that took a long time to acquire
