For whatever reason it seems that lately some people cannot register the importance of a properly working brake system. The "i'll get to it eventually" attitude can have some severe consequences.

90k on my 2016 OR. I had to replace the radiator a couple years ago because it was leaking bad other than that it’s been a tank. Love that little truck.

2022 SR5 bought new December 22. Current at 181297 miles in the snow north west of Rio Turbio in Patagonia Argentina.

No issues no CEL nothing. 4 dump and fills on trans, 3 front/rear/xfer changes/ 4 sets of 255/85/16 tires.

Changed spark plugs at 178k miles. Just didn’t have time to do nor did I feel like doing it. So I was almost 3x overdue on the plugs. No issue. Posted pic of plugs below. I personally don’t see the need to change them at 60k miles. But then again I was out of bumper to bumper warranty at 5 months of ownership and out of power train at 11.

Used every known oil to man all the way up to 10w40. I have $29k of gas receipts. I don’t see any significant change in gas mileage. I religiously run 5/40 in the warm and 0/40 when it gets cold now. Ran some 5/30 dino for 6500 miles. Looked cleaner than synthetic when I changed it.

36 oil changes. I can hear the 10k oil change mafia now. Yeah no sorry I have over 72k miles of documented off-road travel. With 41k of that of that being in 2wd, 21895 being in 4hi and close to 9k in 4lo.

People bitch about their Tacoma struggling at 7k ft in Colorado. Don’t see it. I was at 18k plus feet in Peru and truck did just fine.

Have had OTT tune since around 8500 miles. No issues.

Truck is not lifted don’t have a ton of bs in it. Two 45l fridges where the back seat used to be. 5 five gallon Jerry cans in the back. 300 lbs of gear. Stock SR5 suspension. Been from Barrow AK to the tip of South America.

Snow ice mud sand elevation water crossings you name it. Didn’t change shit. According to most on here I needed to spend thousands on suspension lift it 2 inches do a full build. lol. I have a Softopper and that’s about it. Hasn’t been cut or ripped open or anything stolen out of it yet. And suspension is still fine.

Yes, a stock truck is more capable than what most people think

Attached is me wheeling my truck with just 1” up tires as well as sliders

Not doing suspension until my stock set wears out

Yeah people have no idea. I saw some brutal stuff on the non paved route to the city of La Rinconada in Peru. At over 18k feet its also the highest populated city in the world.

And when I say brutal I mean brutal. We’re talking in 4 to 5 foot drop offs in places…and that’s at a climb angle of over 28 degrees. Some approached 49 degrees. Try it back up pick a new line. Fuck the rear is caught. Back up try it again.

The truck needs nothing to go. Maybe if you want to look good but I don’t give a shit about looks.

I can say that Yokohama G003 m/t tires are an absolute killer tire. Those bitches found traction where I didn’t think there was any.

I also hear them bitch on how it struggles to get on the interstate and doesn’t like moving at 80mph. I have no idea what they are talking about.

Probably because they overloaded their Tacoma with 18947294728472747 lbs of broverlander accessories

Or they don’t know how to use the gas pedal

Or they just want to complain
