    Just getting started.
I was getting tired of the slick plastic knobs on the radio and in Texas' summer heat the rubber bands a lot of us like to use to get more grip just become a mess. So, I went poking around for an alternative and came across Stuart at MaceMFG and his knurled volume knobbies made from 6061 aluminum with a neat topographic map and a nice finish. But what caught my eye while looking around his page was a previous option for knobs made from brass. Unfortunately, those are no longer available, but after emailing Stuart he found one last pair of brass knobbies with engraved TRD. Got them in today, and since they're not sprayed with any finish—which means these guys will get to patina over time (if I don't decide to patina them myself in the future)—I added a coat of renaissance wax. I absolutely love how these metal knobs look and the feel is amazing, and more importantly, no more accidentally turning off the radio when I try to adjust the volume due to my big hands. Highly recommend.
