    Indeed, the Western deserts of North America hold a seemingly endless variety of photographic spectacle.

    White Pocket, AZ is another example of the strange and fascinating geology we are fortunate to enjoy.

    Not sure what makes up this unusual anomaly. Fossilized bacteria and little critters? Layers of mineral deposits…?

    I’m overdue for a return trip. Although it can get shockingly cold, I prefer winter.
