Did this come out yet? been looking, haven't seen it. Especially interested in seeing how the Ironman FC Pro compare/ perform.

I wanna see a blind review of "properly valved and setup" from a reputable shop. I know most folks are going to buy off the shelf, but being properly setup can make a world of difference.

 

And leave 5100s in for every testing bracket, lol

 

we want to do a video about the difference tuning can make. Can't really do it blind, but it wouldn't really need to be since we'd just use the same shocks with different valving the whole time.

 

5100s are shockingly good (pun intended)

I write down valving on every shock I take apart, its interesting to see the variance in "tuned" shocks for the same vehicle. Sometimes the ride quality is insanely improved but on the bad side, a lot of them are stock valving still and some of them are much worse than stock valving lol.

Im starting to think it isn't fair to compare a shock with 3 pistons to a shock with 1 lol. Need to run the 8112s against an air bump, coilover, bypass setup like it's intended to compete against.

 

Exactly my wavelength of thinking, from your tests and personal experience in various setups. Its the stick in the mud across all price brackets; its all relative
