Hello, New member here in need of some mechanic advise. My 2001 Tacoma is my daily, when I would get to my destination I could here the radiator boiling, this was going for some time but would not over heat. I decide to change out tstat, but it keep doing same. Then the radiator started to leak, so I decided to replaced with new radiator, new water pump, new hoses and antifreeze. No leaks anywhere after the work was completed. Now it's over heating which it didn't do before, need your help of what it could be. Any advise is appreciated, thanks in advance.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.

I'll look into replacing fan clutch, just thinking when I replaced the water pump I think it was the original one (had TOYOTA on front of it) so maybe fan clutch is also original, maybe it's time to replace.

Separate question: on tstat the jiggle like thing (maybe sensor) which position should it be placed? I saw couple you tube which say 6 or 12 o'clock position, want to make sure installed correctly. Thanks again.

Did you get the air out of the system ? Also new radiator cap?
And last question when you turn the heat in the car on is the air hot once warmed up

I'll need to look up how to remove air within system, I had never heard of this but then again this is first time I've had to replace all these parts all at once. If I remember correctly, turning air on when temp shows high/hot the air comes out cool, cooler than before, doesn't sound normal.

Update: removed air out of cooling system and replaced old radiator cap with new cap. Drained some of the coolant, used a makeshift long funnel (aka 2 ltr bottle) to help when introducing coolant.back in (this helped burp system). Test drive for about 30 mins and gave it some gas and got.some good.speed (not to crazy) but temp gauge never move past the half way mark. Thanks to those who shared, really appreciate the advise.

I let it cool, the resevior was to about half ways but radiator needed more coolant as it appeared to need it. Not sure what else to do, New that, new radiator, new hoses, new water pump, all new coolant, what's nex? Any additional advise. should I drain and refill with the burp funnel from harbor freight?
