I ordered the Z Precision months ago then a few weeks after got an email from ajt saying it was available, cheaper and in choice of color for less. I have other AJT designs products and like them. I would have bought it had I not seen the Z Precision first. I'm happy with it.

For smaller cups like coffee I have no issues with the bigger cup holder except you need to put your stock divider in or it will tip over when you go around a turn.

I feel your pain. Bent a bunch of tabs on a truck not much older. Then I found the threads about moving the crossmember. Still have the gap on the passenger side. Driver’s side looks decent and no one will probably notice but really shoulda come here first and bought the Z instead. (Found the AJT on another website).

I didn’t bother to watch the install video because I have had it torn apart several times doing other mods. Besides I always take things I see on you tube with a grain of salt.

I went with AJT and it installed just fine, no gaps.

Has anyone found rubber inserts for the bottom? I find that aluminum cans rattle a bit with the extra room (by no means a bad thing)

I use the rubber cups from a 5th gen 4Runner, you can find them cheap on Amazon

I've been meaning to make an insert for the cupholder that I can drop into one side with the stock inside diameter to keep things like soda cans or soda and coffee cups from wobbling around like crazy. Has anyone done this already by chance?

For my insert today fits quite well, should do nicely for coffee cups and stuff that would normally flop around the oversized holder.
