Anybody know the size or part number of the automatic transmission fill plug washer? It's for a 2023 TRD V6. Is it a crush washer or a copper washer?

I found the part number for the fill and check plug washers by searching the forum. Those are No. 35178-30010.

@I-Give-Up o-ring. Reused mine because it was on back order at dealer. Figured I could procure one elsewhere if I had to, worked fine using the old one.
    Toyota part # 90301-15004

@I-Give-Up Sticky at the top 3rd gen diy quick maintenance has lots of parts numbers, torque settings fluid types if you have not found that yet. Don't know how to link it to my post.

Fill plug washer is rubber. Mine looked good so I re-used it.

Check out 1:40 in on this video from the Maintenance Map.

I am unclear on the gasket/washer used specifically for the overflow plug.
The video mentioned a crush washer under the 5mm hex plug.

    Anybody know for certain?

I just did a drain and fill. My rubber gasket on my fill plug looked good so I reused it. I put a new crush washer on the Hex check plug and a new crush washer on the drain plug.

O-ring OEM substitute - McMaster-Carr's website, part number 5233T674 is a silicone O-ring with dimensions 16mm x 21mm x 2.5mm (IDxODxwide). Pack of 25 is ~$15USD. The temp range is -60C (-80F) to +232C (450F) so well beyond trans temp range and trans fluid won't eat silicone. The OEM Toyota O-rings are notoriously hard to find. Dealerships are continuously out of stock (yet somehow have no trouble booking appointments for transmission service (either reusing O-rings or hoarding their own supply - who knows). Compounding that, it's like Amazon can't recognize the specific Toyota part number 90301-15004 either. Hope this helps folks.

For the fill plug, I wonder if a size-appropriate nitrile or green air conditioning O ring would do in the absence of the "correct" part. The air conditioning O rings are amazingly tough and oil resistant.

I have a large stock of these, plus a selection of copper washers.

C’mon. Are things that bad you can’t afford the 0.50 on OEM and then spending $500 to fix a situation from a bad decision? Oy vey!

I have a new one if you need one. Send me PM and I’ll send you one for free. The stamp will cost more than the washer.

    Why not reuse the o-ring?

I asked about it at the dealership, and they said they'd have to order one from Japan if I wanted one. I reused it, but if it were damaged I'd just find a similar one in the parts bins at the hardware store.
