Hello, I have 2011 Taco with ARE canopy. Recently we went camping with my family and one night when it rained we had water leaking in. It's coming from the canopy door. It basically drips from the rubber onto the top of the closed gate and then inside. I'll provide pictures. Any ideas how to seal this properly? I’d pack butyl tape behind the weather strip and see if it helps with the leak.

Thanks for the tip. I bought a rubber seal tape and taped the whole perimeter of the canopy window. Let's see how it holds up

I have a first gen with the same cap arrangement from ARE. I've dealt with leaks in that area for the 8 years I've owned it. I've sealed everything I can find including the riveted frame around the rubber seal all the way around the window. Doesn't matter if the truck is sitting or driving I get water coming in along the edge of the cap about a foot along the edge. IT drips in and makes the bedrug wet. Super frustrating.

Is this how yours leaks...along the edge of the cap?

I"ve added a gasget to tailgate too, thinking initially that was the issue. It's not. It's not coming under the cap seal on the bed rail either...

Mine is dripping water on the top of the gate and then goes in. I've put a rubber seal all along the canopy & door perimeter and let it "hang" a little over. So when I close the window it pinches the seal sort of if it makes sense. Needs to be tested yet.
