Hospitals always seem to think that the patient is obligated to be flexible and bend to their schedule. What's with that? I have a friend that was in a car accident three weeks ago in which he broke his back and can't sit up, much less stand or walk. They discharged him without warning last Friday. If his brother hadn't been available to pick him up in a vehicle that he could lay down flat in they might have left him on the sidewalk outside. The brother is a dentist and has some medical connections so he was able to scramble for an in home nurse... but otherwise my Buddy would have been on his own.

Be careful, and wishing you a good outcome.

Sitting at the airport waiting for our Air Canada flight to Vancouver and then on to the cruise ship to Alaska. I hate airports. Did a lot of business travel when I worked and learned to hate airports, they suck. But what cha gonna do. Looking forward to a good dinner and large glass of wine this evening and then sitting on the balcony watching the world go by. See ya

    Morning all:

Good luck with the surgery Chuck, keep us updated.

    Me too!
I swear when I was in the service, and had to transfer flights, the next baggage loading point was always the furthest away from the terminal where I picked up my duffle bag. :annoyed:

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
That's pretty rude, calling and expecting you to make that kind of change in less than 24 hours. It's very likely someone knew about this several days ago and could have warned you of the possibility of the change.

:rain: Was that me complaining about no rain? Four hours of sprinkly wet stuff yielded 0.08" between 11 and 2. I was supposed to get spaghetti and meatballs for dinner if it was raining...... 5:30 to 6:15 - 1.2" downpour! Dinner was good. Of to "Only Murders in the Building"!

Chuck, in my  today. Give Gunny a rub behind the ears and on his chin.

Good morning. Music lesson today. The Echo weed wacker is being stubborn. Still will not start after replacing the fuel lines, carb, and spark plug. It is sparling at the plug so I will need to take off the shrouding and start to look at the exhaust port and maybe the coil.

    Good morning all!
Back from a long weekend of work at the farm. Finished the second bathroom! It went from ROUGH IN to finished in 2.5 days. including relocating shower and vanity drains, "wall adjustments and repairs", flooring install, door, molding trim, window trim, install of shower, toilet, and vanity. It all works and no leaks!
I have a local guy that has been helping with this place for over a year. Thank God for his creativity and patience in dealing with the rebuild of the whole place.
What is left to be done. -
Skirting, gutters, and 3 sets of stairs for the entry doors. Then a day or more of punch list stuff.
Today is off to the dealer for my 4th oil change already! it hit 20,000 miles yesterday.
Then south to Ft. Lauderdale for meetings on Thursday, then back here to get ready for a relaxing long weekend on Long Boat Key.

:pccoffee: Good morning Porch Pals & Sue! Nice rain last night, after all the promises! Last time getting the Taco inspected - Texas does away with most inspections in January. Some errands, see the Sports Therapy doc, that's it.
    Good luck Chuck!

You may have heard the saying, "Tall fences make for good neighbors"? Today I had a 24' fence installed at the side of my front yard to block the view of my neighbors who have a crappy looking
overgrown front yard. I put up metal stakes over 3 months ago so they might take a hint....these are relatively newer neighbors who appear be clueless how to maintain their property. I've offered to loan my garden tools several times over a long period of time. These folks can well afford to hire a gardener if they don't have the time or basic skills to maintain their property.

Nice weekend. If you could bottle your energy and sell it, you would make a lot of money in this thread alone. ;)

Good morning. Back to work on the weed wacker today and smoking a rack of ribs on the kettle grill. Still waiting on an auger motor from Weber to fix the pellet grill.
