How are some of you folks keeping track of/marking your custom wiring?

I've been gradually adding accessories to my vehicle, at the moment it's just a few minor things like dashcam, power tailgate lock and a front grill camera.

Curious what others are doing, such as using self laminating printed labels.

for me, it depends on what i am working on. for the most part, i like using my label maker that prints on heatshrink. then go over that with clear to keep it from waring off.

then if i want to get more fancy i have a old setup from Boeing for printing directly to wire (spec55 wire in pic)

I was thinking of going this route, borrowing a label printer from work and buying the heat shrink and laminating label cartridges.

I’m with @paranoid56 I use a label maker to print on heat shrink. That, and I use different color wires. I don’t have the ability to print directly on wire, and I am jealous now….
