I know there used to be a kit available from TacoMods where you could install a button on the knob that would allow you to turn the ECT button on/off. I've tried reaching out to him but I don't think he's offering them anymore as I didn't get a reply and the site shows out of stock. Not interested in MESO since they are just a website full of sold out items. I want it on the shift knob for convenience. I realize it's only a short reach to push it on the dash button. Regardless, I'm looking to relocate it to the shifter.

I'm looking for one of the following:

Does anyone have the DIY kit that they want to part with?

Or, can someone provide me the wiring diagram to make my own?

    Appreciate any useful info.

Thank you for bringing this up, I could have used it months ago. Did not ever investigate the cavities of the existing shift handle for adding a switch. I too am disillusioned with Meso, but with TacoMods without stock they seem to be the same in that regard.

Radio Shack use to sell tiny momentary push button switches and I've used them in vehicles. They may still be available on eBay. That takes care of the switch, now onto the wiring connection to the existing ECT button. A schematic may not be necessary as all that is needed is to see just what two terminals of the ECT switch make contact and wire your shifter switch to those two wires leaving the ECT switch connector. I think I can see from TacoMods site the ECT button connector is four conductors/contacts; two will be for illumination, usually beige and green, the other two should be the button contacts.

If you haven't seen TacoMods video, here it is:

    Thanks again for the inspiration.

    Good luck on your project.
