BSM Delete Kit

About six weeks ago my BSM button stopped working. No LED light and no change in status when the switch was depressed.

The sensors on each mirror would go off intermittently and crazily. Huge liability not being able to turn it off.

I was relieved, when finally a few days ago, the system stopped working altogether.

Now it displays a message that takes up my entire digital dash display. You can’t make it go away. What a fun feature!

Until now… enter the delete kit. I color matched it with my truck.



it’s not the fuses… I may have to disassemble the rear bumper… still figuring this one out.

 

Just get rid of it more unnecessary shit we don’t need. Just turn your head and look if there’s a car.

I would very much like to remove it. Would that change anything?
What you're missing is that I've never used it. I can't turn it more off… it's like a ghost that came to haunt me.

 

If all the BSM sensors and switch are removed, will the warning lights go away? Have you done this before? I think the current problem is that it’s not working, and the whole dash is lit up with a message about it not working…

 

I removed my monitors when I got an incompatible steel rear bumper. Eventually the mirror warning light just stopped. I have a 2018 though so might be different

 

I just disconnected all that and turned it off. Zip tied underneath out of the way. I also got rid of stock rear bumper.

 

Yes that's correct. I removed my sensors and switch more than 3 years ago when I put on an HC rear bumper and I've never had a single dash light or warning come up.

 

Relocate the sensors to ditch lights and use them for deer, or put on the roof for ufos.

 

the clear button dont work?

 

Mine suddenly stopped working last week too, no accident, no nothing. Just "blind spot monitoring is unavailable"
