You shouldn't feel bad about that because you haven't been missing it. Those specs aren't on Dometic's US website. The link (and screen grab) takes you to Dometic's site in New Zealand. No clue why Dometic thinks that us Yanks aren't interested in the same specs as the Kiwis. o_O

We bought the smallest Dometic (seen in profile pic). Our first use was an 8 day trip to Terlinqua, Texas and Big Bend National Park. Three of us had breakfasts and dinners for roughly three days. Could have stretched to four but we didn't. Every few days we hit a grocery store and tossed in some chicken, steaks, veggies, eggs, etc. Quick items too like humus for chips and lunch meats, etc. Could have gone bigger, but honestly, we made the smaller one last pretty well. Love it. VERY happy we bought it.

Do you just have it mounted to the mat in your bed or is it bolted to the bed of the truck? Just noticed that you have the mat in the bed with the slide ontop. I just got my slide and was wondering if I can just mount it to the mat being that I keep gear in the bed of the truck all the time and was curious if I need to put something under the mat or above the mat.

Yes. I have the slide on the bed mat and then ran the mounting bolts all the way through everything. If you go this route make sure you are clear of obstructions for the bolts under the bed. I had my first hole on a bed support and had to move the whole thing and re-drill. :annoyed:

CFX 40 but I carry much less than you. Tip: it runs better when full, so I add water bottles as I remove food.

Anyone know if the fridge pulls more power on 120v vs 12v?

Whatever it is, it is minimal. Drove home with an ARB 35qt on 400w Anytime. It did great. By the numbers (0.75W for the fridge), 100w might have worked. Been running off of the battery for the past few days. Going like a champ.

Let's not talk about my Dometic panel installation. LoL!

I can't get past that thumbnail (a problem with me for a lot of YT vids), but power is power. P = I x V. The power consumption remains the same, so doubling the volts just halves the needed current. Likely, going 24v on a 12v system would induce losses in the conversion as heat?

I mean, he proves it out, regardless of the shitty thumbnail.

    Um. No he doesn't.

His "findings" defy the laws of physics....

I'd rather miss out on a treasure map than click on that thumbnail or listen to the likely crappy vid from a person who barfs up a thumbnail like that.

Ya, looked a little deeper: basically, you get to colder faster with 24V, but naturally, you don't utilize less power (actually a little more, probably due to dissipation via conversion). That's what I gleaned, FWIW.

Is anyone an electrical guru and knows what this connector is?
I assume it's a generic cable end I can get somewhere (even if it isn't only .02 cents).
I want to make an extra cable w/ an Anderson connector.

Edit - Maybe abandon ship....Only because this is probably cheaper than making my own...

A 50 amp connector is probably overkill for a small fridge. The wire size doesn't look big enough for 50amps anyway, but it will work.
