My second car ever was a 1972 Toyota LC. I’ve had Toyotas ever since though I relapsed twice & also had 2 consecutive Saabs for snow driving. This year I transferred a Superpacific camper off my 1994 22 RE 4x4 & put it on a used 2022 Tacoma. Now I need some skid plates, & maybe something better for extractions than lots of logging-road clearing chain, & my 50 yr old come-a-long. I am a climber turned sailor so splicing Dynema, block & tackle, cliff rescue & general wilderness travel by foot, kayak, sailboat, or 4x4 is my non-work life. But I’ve got a lot to learn about maintenance on this 2022. The 1994 22 RE 4x4 was easy, change oil, check gear boxes & lube 14 Zerts. It still runs great w new Toyota plugs, rotor, & cap, timing chain, fuel filter & fuel pump, but I needed a bit more HP w the camper. Also the 94 was base model, but it had skid plates, & 11” clearance so it was easy off road travel.

I also need to learn about new extraction techniques & want to keep the wt down & not add my tow chains. [Dynamic vs static tow straps, or cables??]

    New be questions:
    1. Skid plate suggestions so I can still change oil, if that is feasible

2.I would like a dynema type extraction system w manual come-a-long though winch is not out of question. Specifically is there any way to use prussiks [dynema is probably too slippery] for Z pulley crevasse rescue style extraction system.
    3. Front bumper for above if necessary.

Looking forward to meeting folks here. thanks. Norseman4
