I have a 2nd gen base taco. It has a lot of miles but I want to make it special and unique. I am a pretty young guy but I think every can agree if I pull this of it will be bad ass.

If you look at Forestrunnerfranks build he was a air tank where his spare tire went I want the same think but with a smoker. The idea is while hard to get to my truck is lifted so it will be a little easier to get to and smoking meats takes a while to just sit. So great for camping or tailgating.

I think everyone can agree that a built in grill is cool but I don't want to spend 3k on a smartcap. So this is the next best and cheaper way if it works.

Open to all suggestions. The plan rn is to get a old air tank a deep one off of fm and weld a great inside and make a flap it will be mounted upside down where the spare tire used to go the flap will open downward and I am thinking to small door locks to keep it shut.

I think I'd go for more of a hitch mount swingout. Well thought through design pictured here.

I had a Dodge with a built in smoker but less of what you are describing and more of a bad crankcase.

It’s great to be young .Back it the day I saved up over $ 13 to buy a cherry bomb muffler for my El Camino.
I would cruse the beach strip and drop the automatic v8 into low gear and it would sound awesome. I wish you luck and the same results. Great memories,

It has a trailer hitch, make a trailer mounted smoker or pizza oven. Could also just put a smoker in the bed when needed.

It's your truck, but I wouldn't be comfortable having a fire box right next to a fuel tank and lines.

It appears as I have not thought this all the way through I will now be making a portable smoker out of a air tank.

Or you could make an ugly drum smoker like most backyard chefs who wanted to DIY their own appliance.
