    i'm not wealthy but i can pay cash for my tacoma but didnt.

    look at it this way, if u have 50k and u buy $SMH (semiconductors) instead of paying off your truck, the average return is 40% annually. arent you still ahead on teh 6% APR if you are paying monthly for the truck?
    and if you bought 40k worth of stocks on one of the mag7:
    $AAPL annual return 14%
    $AMZN annual return 50%
    $NVDA annual return 200% (nancy pelosi and a few senators owns this stock and they kept adding to their positions the last 2 weeks, so if you jsut follow our thieving representatives you'll also be up 200%,)
    $GOOGL annual return 57%
    $MSFT annual return 36%
    $META annual return 81%
    nevermind $TSLA as elon musk screew up his own company, 2023 return -19%

    and these (mag7) are all in my watchlist that i trade often, you can also see i have a 160% return/profit on $PG = procter and gamble, $NOW was jsu ttaken today and $META yesterday.
    3.png

    this is the price i got $PG $165 per contract, it's currently worth $490 per contract and i have 25 contracts.
    trade taken august 23 and is up $7,000 in 2 weeks

    invest your money, go to a financial advisor that specializes in teh stock market instead of paying cash for your truck.

    Sounds like a lot of work and a little risky. I'll just be dumb and keep paying cash :)

    Looks like you are trading options?? While the basic concept of options is very simple, Puts or Calls/Buy or Sell, the expiration dates, strike prices and the various combinations one may make with those choices, can make them very complicated very quickly. Options are not for everybody. You seem to be doing well but the average person on the street would likely lose their shirt.

    Until these stocks don’t provide these returns. Quoting average returns and then forecasting that forever is disingenuous. I would recommend going to the stocks thread and posting all of this ‘advice’ there

    Can someone give me directions? I was looking for a thread about a blown engine that used to be around here.

    there's always something new. right now these are the darlings.
    that's when you do your research or just buy a house as mentioned above.

    • The market is an investment apparatus that rises. Since 1942 which is the last 78 years (including 2019) the market (S&P 500) has been up 62 of those 78 years if you include dividends, which, of course you do. Even further, the average return for an up year was 19.3% and the average return for a down year was -12%. So, this magical apparatus not only wins 80% of the time, but when it wins it does so larger than when it loses. Losing money in the stock market long-term, at least in the past, has actually been hard. The biggest impact on returns is simply fear. We tend to get fearful as stocks go down and sell at the bottom. We tend to get fearful of missing out as stocks go up and buy at the top. If either of those behaviors is curtailed, it can just be one of them, then in the last 78 years, yes, "losing" would have been difficult. Source:https://twitter.com/OphirGottlieb/

    You’re going to have to go over this whole scheme one more time. Where do you live ? “Southern states” or “Puerto Rico” ? And how are you avoiding a federal tax ?!

    @BronzoTaco

    any updates?

    @r3k

    I see quite a few simple spelling errors in your posts. You spell “the” (teh) wrong an awful lot. You may want to double-triple check your investment math for transposed numbers.

    Nothing at all. I'm just sitting here buying my time and not letting it stress me out as much as possible. Day 11/30. Sucks not having wheels. My retired buddy lives down the street and helps me out. I actually drove his 2016 Tacoma TRD Sport and compared to the ride of the 2024. What a difference. I hope they figure this shit out so buyers can go back to depending on their Tacomas. I do love the truck so hoping for a good outcome. All good on your end?

    He did that and tried to sell his $80/month Discord channel subscription to get his good advice. It didn’t end well.

    So no loner then yet?

    All is good other than dealing with wild fire smoke since July. Running the wife to PT and doctor’s appointments, it is right across the street from the car dealers, so I have been cruising the lots while I wait on her. Trying to convince myself to buy a Tacoma, couple major things I don’t like and the cost, one shouldn’t have to convince themselves to make a purchase ya know?

    where did i say that i am selling? quote it.
    u probably didnt understand the explanation when i was called out "i was meaning to say i've been doing it a long time, that i've been profitable for a long time, that people follow my trades, that i am a paid analyst ona discord that i dont own". u missed the part where i said the discord is closed? quote it please.
    dont put words...
    instead of trying to learn how to be profitable i was attacked that's why i no longer post there.
    i couldve probably helped.
