Yeah same. My mud tires weigh the same as the all terrain Baja bosses. They have such good reviews though!! If I got the Baja bosses I would go 265/75/16 to save weight probably.

Yup! I have an older version of the KDMax tune. I do think that size affects stuff more than weight, now that I’ve run a few sets of various sizes/weights.

For instance, my 58 pound mud tires feel like they’re the same as my previous 53 pound all terrain tire because they are the same size.

I'm interested in these tires as well. I found this review helpful. My takeaway is that it's a completely new tire compared to the GO/15. It was designed to compete with the new KO3. Apparently, Yokohama is Looking to capture more of the full size truck market. Interested to see if they have any balancing issues and their wet traction performance moving forward.

That makes a lot of sense, when I first looked at them in person they immediately reminded me of the Wildpeaks. They have a lot of siping and grooves that face both directions on the center tread, I suspect they are probably actually pretty decent in mud and muck. Obviously they’re going to be good in rain and snow because of the 3PMS rating but they are definitely more off-road oriented than I expected, which I’m very happy about.

It seems like this might be the perfect tire for someone like me who does a lot of long haul road trips with trail riding mixed in along the way.

If they could somehow be as good as the GO15 in the wet I'd absolutely buy them. I've not had a non car tire be so good in the rain, especially braking/accelerating

I’m keeping my fingers crossed! It’ll be a while before I can write a driving review. Probably not getting them mounted until the end of the month.

Yeesh……. Sorry a little mixed up with my post this morning. No coffee and multitasking at the time of writing.

    What I meant to say………

I'm interested in these new Yokohama A/T4 GO18 tires as well.

However, I found this review helpful with what Falken did with their new AT4W compared with their previous AT3W. It's a completely new tire compared to the old AT3W. Apparently it was designed to compete with the new KO3. More beefier and heavier while loosing some wet weather traction. Falken is also Looking to capture more of the full size truck market too.

So this may not be a good choice for the PNW rainy weather. With Yokohama’s new AT/4 GO18, I wonder if they will be heading in the same direction as Falken’s redesigned A/T4W

I’m really interested in this New Yokohama A/T4 GO18 but there is not much info of course since it’s so new. Very glad @Road_Warrior was able to purchase a set. Interested to see if they have any balancing issues and their wet traction performance moving forward. Seems to be lots of choices and competition these days. There seems to be a rush to provide a popular A/T tire.

Sadly mine won’t be mounted until the end of the month because I’m so busy right now but I will certainly keep everyone posted.

I will say that one thing that sets these apart from the other popular AT tires (for me at least) is the weight. And I confirmed that the LT285/75/16’s do only weigh 54 pounds, which is super light for an E rated tire.

Mine were made in the Philippines if anyone is curious. I know I saw a few posts talking about it earlier in the thread.

    They are mounted :D

I drove around running some errands after picking the truck up from the shop and first impressions are that these are buttery smooth and also quiet. It’s obvious they are a light tire because the truck’s drive-ability is the exact same as with my old 265/75/16 mud tires.

I’ll post more opinions once I have a chance to drive on them more.
