I am looking into doing a 4x4 conversion for my 4x2 vehicle. I am planning on using FJ Transfer case with the Gen 3 4x4 auto transmission. I have a pretty good understanding of the process from other threads, but need further information that I have not found yet. If I swap a used 4x4 transmission into my vehicle, will there be any problems with the TCM or ECU on my vehicle? What I don't want is to do the swap, and then have an undriveable vehicle due to electronics. If a reset is needed what is the best way to accomplish this without going to a dealership or frying every electronic system in my vehicle? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
