    How would you fix this?

    The new tailgate cover I’m doing should cover the area completely, but I’d like to paint and clear film it for rust prevention.

    If you’re covering it up. I’d just scuff it. Tape across the tailgate just under the edge, prime and paint the top. If you don’t want to paint the entire tailgate. Or maybe a piece of vinyl wrap just enough to cover the wear and the top. Comes down to want ya wanna spend.

    After reading a bit more the last couple days, I think that’s the route I’m going with. Think I can do a decent enough job. Thanks for the input!
