From Duratracs to Cooper AT3, they were way better for the 95% on road I do.

Not off-road, but off the road. As in never on the road. Does not affect passenger vehicle tires.

That makes more sense I guess. I was kinda wondering why I didn't see the news elsewhere on this forum. I just skipped around the article like a moron. Thanks for setting me straight!

Anyone running the new Discoverer Road & Trail AT? I'm due for a new set next month and was considering these over my current Discoverer AT3 LT (C load).

There’s a couple people and pics floating around. They look more aggressive than the website photos.

    This is someone else’s truck:

Thanks, I've seen pics. Was more interested in how they perform/hold up.

I think theyve only just been released so there may not be a lot of long term miles on them yet. Pretty sure they came out this year.

Correct, thus my inquiry. Was hoping someone has picked up a set and has some feedback.

Hey this really is a Mega thread, and I didn't see it until after I bought these. 285/70/R17s AT3 4S because of the specified low weight, and 3PMS. I don't have the mounted yet, I'm waiting for the SCS Group Buy wheels to be delivered.

I got a "good deal" from these on Amazon for $202 each shipped. Turns out they aren't a matched set though, 3 are from early 2023 and one is from late 2022. Another observation is they don't really meet the published specification for weight, and they have some variances. Two of them are 45.0 lbs, one is 44.6 lbs and the older one is 43.8 lbs.

Coopers website currently doesn't list P285/70/R17 BLK, only OWL, which are listed at 45 lbs.. So these BLK version might be recently discontinued. Actually just saw they are discontinued on Discount Tires website.

Past tires I've got had paint dots on the tire to indicate low and high points, but these don't have any. Are Coopers supposed to be factory balanced? A couple of them have what appears to be some shaping or balancing of the tread on the edges. Almost like they've been shaved or sanded. I hope that is from the factory.

    Hey that’s my truck lol.

To answer some questions. So far they are performing excellent! I’ve towed our small camper through downpour rain, been off road in muddy/sandy terrain. They are quieter than most a/t’s I’ve ran in the past. They are quite soft/grippy, but with the 10k so far on them I can’t really comment on wear or winter performance. Hope this helps.
