Rear sliding window, intermittent wiper switch, center console tray, glove box organizer shelf, WeatherTech front mats and mud flaps, 3D MaxSpider behind-the-front-seats mat, bed lights, MESO climate control rings, XPEL tailgate protection, Desertdoesit.com seat jackers, RAV4 radio knobs, glove box letters.
Finally got a sliding rear window installed yesterday! New rims will be next although the steelies have grown on me!

A few, mainly added skids. I like leaving the suspension alone. I drive forest service dirt roafs in the desert west extremely extremely too fast. Toyota nailed this suspension going 65 across desert terrain. Changing it is dumb unless you have a specific need like crawling or mud.

Got the DIY splash shields banged out last night and this morning. The original ones were so swollen from absorbing undercoating that they were puffed out into the wheel wells and one was rubbing the tire while turning. I used the template from here modified slightly, and cut them from 3/32 EPDM from Amazon. I was able to fit both on one 24"x48" sheet.

Tossed the bikes in the back and went a little ways away for bike riding in a new locale relative to where we live. I'm sure there is a much more eloquent way to put them all in there, but it made it 45m there and back with no movement so I'm not too worried. A 4th gen parked next to me on the way out from where we were and it seems just way bigger in person compared to the 3rd gen.

Also the kids are big into perlers now so I joined them the other evening and made a taco. They got a kick out of putting it on the Q charger or whatever TF it is (never use it anyhow).

I'm doing a ~100k service. Pads, spark plugs etc. Btw anyone know if the foam you take off during a plug change is actually needed? I've left it offSnapchat-1688469922.jpg 20240908_152401.jpg

Cheapo underhood light kit i did last week made the plug change easier

-Changed some exhaust flange bolts. Stock ones are rusty and fluid film won't handle those kinda temperatures. Changed them for stainless. Used lots of antiseize to keep the stainless threads happy.
-Modified the XL Rock Blox mud flaps for stock wheels. Previous owner had aftermarket wheels. Cut about 1.5" from the height and outside width.

Flaps look much better. Do you recall the bolt size by chance? I was thinking about doing this before it gets too rusty.

Ah I see now in the post shot they are through bolts.

Thanks dude. I missed punching one hole and had to do it inside the wheel well but luckily I got it dead on. And the clips I bought to replace the stock ones are a bit loose and can be pulled out if you try hard enough. Eventually I'll get more of the toyota specific ones with the slots to pop them apart like I used for the plastic shield in the front (napa 665-3095).

They are m10x1.25 (fine thread). I cut the nut off and ran the slightly larger 7/16" step reamer bit though the nut side. The hole after the nut will easily accept the 7/16" bolts.
Used 7/16-14x1-1/2" 304 stainless bolts with nuts, split locks, and extra thick washers.

Well, Dealer didn’t think it was necessary as they didn’t include it in the wiring harness replacement. Rats chewed through the harness and at some point gnawed those foam pieces for bedding material (I’m guessing). My other guess is that Toyota intended it for noise suppression. (Because I’m me, I will most likely put what’s left of them back on after the spark plug R&R.)

I did an oil change to mine today. The Fumoto valve that I installed last time sure made this one easier and cleaner to do. I collected a sample to send to Blackstone labs for analysis. I’m thinking about getting a trd pro skid plate for its access door so I don’t have to remove the skid plate. It’s not hard to remove it, but it would be nice not to have to.

Afterwards I took my taco to get Chinese food for lunch. I think that they may have gotten to know me too well over the years after the fortune in the cookie I got today.

Be sure to demand devaluation of your vehicle more than just a dollar amount. Most people, when shopping for a used vehicle, immediately pass over the 'vehicle collision' vehicles. I know that I did, even if it were just a bumper cover with minor damage. If you were to ever trade it in, you know the dealer will LOWBALL your value because of it. May as well take the money now.
