You just have to worry about compartment syndrome. A tight calf, or a cold foot is a medical emergency...I think you would of seen it by now.

New tire day for the 2014 FJR. Heading to Maggie Valley NC in about 10 days for a FJR forum meet and not sure my current pair would last down and back. Close to the wear bars so better safe than sorry. Had hoped for another 2k out of them.

We've been there twice, 2018 and 2019 for FJR forum meets. This year is looking a little sparse for attendance though which kind of sucks. Past years we've had close to 75-90 FJR owners show up. Great riding area though.

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
If anyone is interested, my wife hasn't touched her motorcycle since last summer. She told me today to put if up for sale. She just isn't into it anymore. 2016 BMW G 650 GS with 5,400 miles. It literally has almost every extra farkle you could add to it. PM me if you want pics or details. I'd like $6k for it.20230408_171504.jpg

just a couple of things tbh
The klx made it home alive! Did a lot of gravel roads and smaller dirt trails nothing honestly hard but it was a good 7 hours out on the bike all day. Did road riding as well but not much. We did run into an issue with the klx where we had to ditch it and come back to get it thou.... We haven't looked further into the issue yet but the bike randomly wouldn't turn? It was the last true trail we were doing and I was having a blast jumping the ruts and ditches and doing the little hill climbs and at the end of the trail the bike was refusing to turn and I'd have to force it? My buddy thinks maybe tire/wheel combo while me and another friend thing fork bearing went bad but that would be odd in a brand new bike right?!

So we ditched the bike at a tire shop hidding it in a pile of tires and jumped in my buddies tercel to drive 45mins back to camp to get the ford

Like the bike wont physically turn handlebars? Check new aftermarkets wiring / headlight you installed. It takes a REALLLLLLY FUCKED UP steering stem bearing to make it to where you cant turn.... an aftermarket wire loom getting pinched / headlight getting stuck on a steering stem.... absolutely.

No it will turn it's just a fight to make it turn. I already checked the wiring harness it's not it. That's why one friend thinks it's the tires or something with the wheel. Since no matter what I did the bike honestly just wasn't stable after a day of riding when it use to be very stable. Then it got to the point where it felt like it would stick to the ground and if have to actually force the bars to move so idk.

ya but i feel thats how it is with anything these days! ive seen a few smaller toy haulers that are built nice but not to many sadly! we thought we found one we liked until we saw the floor plan! there was no true garage it just went into the living area like wtf? how am i suppose to fit anything in there?
haha yup! they made it a lot easier to ride all weekend thanks!

only issue i had is my right thumb kept going numb? idk why thou i dont think i was riding any differently then i did with my old klx but maybe i was a bit?

A wheel bearing will just make it hard to move forward/backward. It won't want to roll well.....

Steering stem is the only bearing that will affect turning.

And whatever friend said tires don't listen to them.

ya it rolls fine its just turning. it would be odd thou for a steering stem to be bad this early ya? or could all the gravel dust have caused the issues??

i mean he was saying a combination of wheel or tire since he hasnt seen it he was just talking through text and said check there first while im 5 hours away lol. i plan to change the tires out eventually thou.

Probably slim to no grease in the bearing...so likely
